Speaking of Ceres

A friend sent me a link to the new trailer for Batman film, The Dark Knight; which was filmed partially in Chicago(Gotham City). Being a fan of the dark knight and a Chicagoian, I was delighted to see all the scenes that were filmed a mere block away from my workplace. One such scene is a fly-over shot of the Chicago Board of Trade(CBOT) building which happens to be capped with a 31 foot (9.5 m) tall statue of the goddess Ceres. A more in-depth look into the syncromysticism associated with the cereal goddess can be found here and here.

Here is a screen grab of the fly-over shot showing Ceres on top of the Chicago Board of Trade building.

Most of the city scenes shown in this trailer were filmed in front of the CBOT building, at the end of South LaSalle Street, downtown Chicago.

If you were to travel back in time to the summer of 1996, you would likely hear this song blaring from my car. Imagine a gray 1985 Dodge Omni hatchback cruising along with vinyl letters the spelled 'K M F D M' proudly displayed at the top of the windshield and a ceramic skull(that my mom painted for me - yeah she was that cool) facing the rear window that contained lights within which flashed with the beat of the music. The beat was provided by an 18" subwoofer that lived in the hatch. It wasn't hard to stick out in a small town in Indiana.

The above photo was taken at Green Lawn Cemetery during a recent trip to Columbus, Ohio. The city of Columbus has a lot of symbolism for those with "eyes to see." I will share my discoveries in upcoming posts.

As I was walking to the bank, I began counting surveillance cameras that I walk passed. Chicago has been installing CCTV cameras at what could be considered an alarming rate over the last few years. I counted 23 unique cameras in proximity to my person as I walked to my destination.

Nearly every intersection in the Loop has at least one, sometimes two, dome-shaped cameras attached to traffic light poles. The same could said about intersections throughout the rest of the city. Many downtown buildings are armed with surveillance cameras to defend themselves against something.

Here is a 2003 map of surveillance cameras located in the Chicago Loop. This map was created by Bill Brown of the New York Surveillance Camera Players . Brown counted 227 cameras within the Loop in 2003. This inspired me to begin creating an updated map.

Emergency Notification System Update

After much searching, I finally found some information on the emergency notification system that was recently installed downtown Chicago.

This system was manufactured by a company called Federal Signal Corporation, University Park, IL. This specific device is part of the Modulator Series Siren family. It produces siren tones and digitally recorded voice messages. Go to the Modulator web page to listen to some creepy audio samples.

I would not be surprised if this system could be used as a *live* public address system, too.

Emergency Notification System

Has anyone seen a this device erected in your area?

While meandering downtown Chicago, I witnessed two guys working for Horizon Contractors, Inc. wiring this new device for service. I asked one of the contractors what the thing was and he replied, "It's an emergency notification system... a giant speaker."

This is device is located on the southwest corner of South Wacker Drive and West Madison Street.

I'm trying to find more information on this contraption. Horizon Contractors, Inc. doesn't appear to have a web presence.

A few weeks ago, Intuitive Cat and I went on a architectural symbolism safari throughout the South Loop of downtown Chicago.

One of the gems of our excursion was the beehive and ziggurat that sits atop of the Straus Building(soon to be Metropolitan Tower).

Intuitive Cat did some research on the the building's history and it's use of the beehive and ziggurat symbols.

Here's what he found:

Babylon alive and well in Chicago.
Straus Building - soon to be Metropolitan Tower
a step pyramid / ziggurat with a beehive (click for a transcript of a freemasonic talk on the symbolism of the beehive) on top.
Masonic Temples are often found to have both Ziggurat and Beehive motifs.
(although this was never 'officially' a freemasonic temple as far as i know)

Eight years after reading Black Helicopters II : The End Game Strategy, by the late Jim Keith, I may have witnessed one first hand.

Saturday, July 14th, at 7:15 PM, my wife and I were driving home from a friend's house south of Chicago. We were traveling northbound on Lake Shore Drive, which runs along the southwestern shore of Lake Michigan. We were about to pass the Michigan Avenue exit ramp when I looked out over the lake and saw what appeared to be a solid black helicopter about 300 feet away. It was hovering very close to the water, perhaps 20-30 feet above.

The black helicopter did not appear to be a commercial or Coast Guard(bright orange) aircraft, but rather something the military would employ. It was long, suggesting multiple passengers, had a somewhat pointed front end, and as far as I could tell it was completely unmarked. The nose cone had some kind of device(s) emanating from it.

By the time the wife retrieved the digital camera from her purse we were too far away to take a photograph. I considered turning the car around and going back, but decided not to assuming that the chopper would be long gone by then.

While investigating the ingredients contained within a can of Lipton® Iced Brisk - Iced Lemon Tea, I found this tasty gem -- calcium disodium EDTA.

Wikipedia description:

EDTA is a widely-used acronym for the chemical compound ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid (and many other names, see table). EDTA refers to the chelating agent with the formula (HO₂CCH₂)₂NCH₂CH₂N(CH₂CO₂H)₂. This amino acid is widely used to sequester di- and trivalent metal ions. EDTA binds to metals via four carboxylate and two amine groups. EDTA forms specially strong complexes with Mn(II), Cu(II), Fe(III), and Co(III).^[1]

According to the dubious nutrition list on the can, the job of EDTA is "to protect freshness," but the Wikipedia page explains it's use in soft drinks(among other things) a bit more throughly:

Soft drinks containing ascorbic acid and sodium benzoate, to mitigate formation of benzene (a carcinogen)

Why would you want to drink anything that could possibly create benzene in the first place? Never mind anything else that is added to prevent it.

Theosophy and Platonic Solids

Last weekend, I visited the national center of the Theosophical Society in America, specifically to check-out (pun intended) the Henry S. Olcott Memorial Library and Quest Book Shop. I was a bit surprised to find out that I have been living about 30 minutes away from this place for the last several years.

While taking pictures of the main entrance gate, I noticed that the two pillars were topped with a Platonic solid. I found this to be quite interesting. The left pillar was capped with a icosahedron and on the right pillar a dodecahedron.

Two days later while reading Bob Frissell's Something in This Book Is True..., I happened upon this paragraph:

"There is a new grid around Earth that is enabling this consciousness to come forth. More than 83,000 sacred sites around the planet, built in very specific places, were used by the ascended masters to create this grid. The process began 13,000 years ago and was completed on February 4, 1989. The grid is electromagnetic in nature, it is located about sixty miles above Earth, and its geometry is based on the pentagon, as well as a relationship between the dodecahedron and the icosahedron." -page 218

The T.S. website briefly explains the use of the Platonic solids on the pillars:

"...the gate's pillars are capped by two of the five Platonic solids, symbolizing the order inherent in the universe."

For me, the Olcott Memorial Library was awe-inspiring and for only $30 annually, visitors may borrow books and videos. I was stunned by the volume and selection of books offered there. Quest Book Shop was also impressive to me. Shit, you can even buy a hardcover version of Manly P. Hall's Secret Teachings of All Ages there.

Anger towards Mickey Mouse

Over at Sabrina’s Journey, the association between independent filmmaker Kenneth Anger and Mickey Mouse were brought forth. I was reading Fritz Springmeier ’s article titled "The Disney Bloodline" at the time, which suggests that an individual with a strong connection to Mickey Mouse as a child would exhibit an attachment towards the cartoon character throughout their life (e.g., shirts, watches, etc.). In jest, I asked, “Is Kenneth Anger the product of Disney mind control?” in the comments section.

A day later while continuing to read the Disney Bloodline article I was synchronistically surprised by the following section:

Kenneth Anger (he choose[sic] the last name Anger) was raised on the Wizard of Oz books. His biographer Bill Ladis writes that the Oz books “laid the groundwork for Ken’s attraction to Crowley, the occultist who would rework Rosicrucian thought into his own magical system.” Ken was obsessed with Crowley’s life & magic. As a child, Ken had danced with Shirley Temple in competition after she became a child star. Ken Anger loved the OTO’s solar phallic religion, and was also obsessed with Mickey Mouse. He spent part of his time studying his friend’s Mickey Mouse collection. Ken Anger did his casting for his film “Lucifer Rising” by telling occult friends & acquaintances that they could live out their goddess and god power-trip fantasies by acting for him. The British government’s National Film Finance Corp. fronted 15,000£ for Lucifer Rising’s production. Famous occult musician Jimmy Page did the sound track gratis. Ken Anger acted as the film’s Magus and made his Magus role resemble Mickey Mouse in the film Fantasia. Kenneth Anger: Yes I’m finishing a film I’ve already shot. It’s a study of animated toys of a rare nature. These are collectables of early Walt Disney toys. I’ve always loved Mickey Mouse since I was a little boy and I’m outraged about the current Disney company’s attitude to Mickey Mouse. I mean they think they own it but all the children of the world own Mickey Mouse. And I have devised a way to star Mickey Mouse in a film that the current Disney company can’t legally object to, by filming antique toy collection of early Disney toys, And it’s just a coincidence all those toys happen to be Mickey Mouse. I’m actually being very respectful of early Mickey Mouse. I hate later Mickey Mouse, because from “Fantasia” on the Disney people decided to humanize the mouse, remove his tail- which is kind of castration- and in turn him into a little boy who is a sort of a goody-two-shoes. And he’s no longer the mischievous sadistic mouse that he was in the beginning. He used to do nasty little tricks like twist the udders of cows and things like that. And that’s the only mouse I’m interested in, I mean this kind of demon ‘fetish’ figure.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kenneth Anger a few years ago at at the Gene Siskel Film Center during a screening presentation of his works . For those who have seen it, he wore the same tacky planetary sweatshirt that he wore to the Disinfo.Con. What a character. I left the screening with a signed "Lucifer Rising" poster which is proudly displayed in my apartment.

Brief synopsis (from ultimatedisney.com):

Young Tia (Kim Richards) and Tony Malone (Iake Eissinmann) arrive at an orphanage after the death of their foster parents, and immediately, the other children notice something is different about them. In baseball, Tony is able to jump high to catch fly balls...fifty feet high. Tia gets a feeling about certain things that are about to happen and she prevents a man from being the victim of a car accident.

The man, Lucas Deranian (Donald Pleasance), informs his malicious boss Aristotle Bolt (Ray Milland) of these two special children, and they seek to exploit their powers, with Deranian posing as the siblings' uncle to get custody. Tia and Tony take off, with hopes of remembering and finding exactly where on Earth (or not) they come from. They get assistance from Jason O'Day (Eddie Albert), an old soul who at first look appears to be gruff, but is entirely sympathetic to the two children. LINK

The following is an example of one of the many odd moments in the film: Bolt and Deranian watch the two kids (star children) via surveillance monitors as the children put on a display of their magical talents inside their new quarters within the Bolt compound . Bolt and Deranian say the following lines:

ARISTOTLE BOLT: That's the most incredible thing I've seen.
LUCAS DERANIAN: Thank you. We have a long way to go, yet. I'm having more hidden cameras installed and as soon as I have enough... evidence, I'm going to show the tapes to the children.
ARISTOTLE BOLT: "Good. If this doesn't put them on my team, well..., we'll have to resort to cruder methods of persuasion."

Ever been curious as to what the "XP" in Windows XP meant? Some say it stands for eXPerience, but according to Wikipedia, Microsoft had a project code named "Cairo" from 1991 to 1996. It was to build technologies for a next generation operating system.

"Cairo was announced at the 1991 Microsoft Professional Developers Conference by Jim Allchin.^[1] It was demonstrated publicly (including a demo system for all attendees to use) at the 1993 Cairo/Win95 PDC.^[2] Microsoft changed stance on Cairo several times, sometimes calling it a product, other times referring to it as a collection of technologies.^[3]

"The Chi-Rho [pronounced kahy-roh] emblem can be viewed as the first Christian Cross.

Yesterday, while listening to an archived Red Ice Radio podcast, with guest Freeman[1], I was reminded of the 2006 film ‘Death of a President.’

During the podcast Freeman shared George W. Bush’s secret Skull and Bones name which happens to be ‘Temporary'. Freeman also said, “And I’ve always expected him to be taken out to leave Cheney in charge.”[3]

I agree with Freeman’s sentiments on this subject. After watching 'Death of a President,' I was left with the feeling that the film was intended to foretell an upcoming “real” event that would take George W. Bush’s life, leaving Vice President Dick Cheney and his handlers complete power. Furthermore, I would not be surprised if George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush would allow their own son to sacrificed to further the agenda. Hell, maybe this was the role Dubya was brought forth into this world to fulfill, planned before his birth. Maybe not.

Animated Chemtrails

Wow. Chemtrails are so commonplace these days that the creators of the children's film Over the Hedge have included them in most of the shots of the sky throughout the movie. It appears to me that children (adults too!) are being subversively programmed to accept chemtrails (or whatever they may be) as something that naturally occurs in the sky, and that this phenomena has always been present. Too young to remember; how will they know the difference?

2/3 cup of rice milk (you can sub this with soy milk or moo juice)
1 banana
2 tablespoons of peanut butter
2 tablesppons of honey
1 1/2 cup of crushed ice(or 4 or 5 cubes?)*

BLEND IT!

*I prefer getting bags of crushed ice from a gas station or grocery store. This makes it easier for my blender to chew up. At least until I can afford a $400 Blendtec blender.

Vegetarian Diet - One Year Later

I decided to experiment with a vegetarian/vegan diet one year ago. Since I was only eating meat roughly 2 or 3 times a week it really wasn't that big of a jump, but surprisingly I have not had any urges to partake of the flesh. Replacing dairy milk with soy or rice milk wasn't that big of a deal either. Rice milk is rockin' my socks. Cheese? I ate a lot of cheese beforehand and that was a bit difficult to eat around. Up until about an month ago I avoided cheese completely. Now I enjoy some cheese occasionally on my pizza.

For those out there who enjoy eating meat and drinking animal milk, heretic fig has a good post on buying genuine meat and whole raw milk instead of the pasteurized stuff here.

24,000 Images Later

I made the mistake of accidentally erasing my photos folder today. I was cleaning up and reorganizing my pictures folder, and relocating it to another drive when the unspeakable took place. Instead of erasing each file or subfolders as I relocated them I decided to leave them on the old drive until I was completely finished. I bypassed the iPhoto folder, leaving it for last. Well, thinking I was finished moving files, I went ahead and put the old directory into the 'Trash' and immediately emptied it. No sooner than I lifted my finger from the mouse button I realized that I had just erased around 12GB of photos. FUCK!!

With the help of Data Rescue II & iView MediaPro, I think I have recovered nearly every photo. After scanning for deleted image files I was left with 24 folders containing 1,000 images per folder. Every deleted image was pulled, including web browser cache files. Recovering deleted files really sucks since the folder names and folder hierarchy and filename are destroyed, and you're left with 'jp19992x3444.jpg' as a filename.

So far I have spent 7 hours of my life sorting this mess out.

Remember kids, back-up your important computer data often!

Thought I'd stop by and let you know that my heart is still beating. I've been slacking at the whole blog thing lately.

Ever since I moved, I have been experiencing a limbo sorta state, but I feel like I'm being pushed further; breaking self-imposed limits. I have barely read a single page of paper text, haven't listened to any podcasts, or watched any video on the subjects of the occult, mysticism, science, religion, conspiracy, paranormal, metaphysics since moving. It has been a much needed break though. Fortunately, I feel my consciousness becoming more aware of itself, withdrawing gently from consensus reality.

Lucid dreams are occurring on a almost nightly basis. Last week I had a dream within a dream that has had me scratching my head ever since.

Blah, blah, blah...

Found out via one of the local newspapers that theCon(read 'Unsaid, And Dead') swindled nearly $24,000 worth of credit from my dad. The newspaper printed a list of people who were being taken to court for owed debts. It's generally not a good idea to give someone you barely know a credit card, is it? theWife wanted to cut out the article and mail it to him with "karma is a bitch, isn't it?" written on it. Oh how I love that woman.

I haven't talked to my dad since moving back and he hasn't made any effort to contact me. I'm really not surprised though, after telling him to fuck off during our last conversation. ;) I saw him out and about once, but I avoided him. It reminds me of how I avoided him six years ago, during my mom and dad's temporary separation.

Tomorrow marks the beginning of September, the ninth month of the year in the Gregorian Calendar. September was also the seventh month of the Roman calendar until 153 BC.

Unsaid, And Dead - Part 1

What would you do if your father told you that there was something your mother should have told you before she died? Furthermore, refused to tell you what that was?

About 4 years ago, my father said exactly that to me during a heated argument. My father showed up in Chicago, unannounced, to convince me to respect the woman(theCon) he was living with at the time. I later found out that the trip to Chicago was engineered by theCon. A month or two before the visit, theCon and I had a heated conversation over the telephone, which ended with her hanging-up on me numerous times, and me getting so angry that I tore the kitchen countertop off.

To make a long story short, she was given legal guardianship(and MUCH more) over my brother while my dad was away in the country of Turkey for a month. My brother called me from a neighbors house, he was very upset with the way theCon was treating him. I politely called theCon and asked what was going on. She instantly became very angry and threatened to move out and leave my brother to take care of himself. I called her bluff. Being the parasite that she is, that would have meant that she would no longer have a host(my father) to use and steal from. A couple of days later, I received the first and last call from my father while he was in Turkey. Right from the start of the conversation he started bitching at me for the way I talked to theCon. I made it clear to him that he was not present during the conversation theCon and I had, and that it saddened me to know that he would rather believe a woman he barely knew, versus his own sons. More on that later...

So, during his plea for my respect for theCon, he rattles off, "There was something your mother should have told you." My heart stopped for a moment, and then I asked him what she should have told me. He replied, "SHE should have told you." I was dumbfounded, and responded with, "She's fucking DEAD!" He wouldn't tell me.

I asked him about it a few years later; still refuses to tell me.

This job has been quite a learning experience. Going into the homes of complete strangers was very odd for me at first, but now it has become entertaining to see how other people live. I've been in a couple of houses that were so cluttered with stuff, from the floor to the ceiling, that it made me uncomfortable to be inside of them. Every flat surface had piles of miscellaneous objects stacked on top of it; narrow pathways connecting each room.

I'm considering bringing a "tip jar" with us and setting it down inside the customers home during the delivery process. Two(!) customers tipped us $20 this week. I figure if we set down a tip jar in front of them it may convince more people to show us some monetary love.

After two weeks of looking for a job that didn't include working in a factory, I landed a job delivering appliances for a namebrand store. The pay is next to nothing and no benefits, not even an employee discount, but at least I'm not cooped-up in a factory environment.

Today was a good day to be initiated into the delivery line of work. It rained(poured!) most of the day. It's interesting to see inside the homes of people you do not know. How other people live. We delivered a refridgerator to an empty apartment that smelled like it had been filled with a combination of shit, piss, and vomit. The sink was partially filled with stagnate liquid and the toilet(which resided in the kitchen) had dried shit in it. The stench was overwhelming at times.

Well, it's been over a week since we moved -- a very, very busy week.

We got to the new place around 11pm last Friday night and I immediately started unpacking, but I should have went to bed. I had one of my occasional low sugar moments; turning white, becoming light-headed, and sweating profusely. It had been a long day.

Some family and friends come over Saturday to help us unload the moving truck(thank you!) and visit. My brother blessed the new house by dumping 32 ounces of diet Coke onto the beige carpet.

Unexplained Phenomenon

Sunday morning theWife and I woke up to find the fruit bowl sitting on the kitchen table, split into 6 pieces, with the fruit lying on the pieces. Very odd. We left it untouched on the table for visitors to see and share their opinion on the cause. We have heard some unexplained noises, too. theWife and her mother heard what sounded like the toilet lid being shut Friday night, not long after getting to the house. theWife's mother later told us that her and her husband were in the empty house cleaning earlier that day, and they both heard and felt a crash-like sound in the home, but couldn't find the source. A couple of days ago I was in the bedroom and heard what sounded like a person running their fingers down the metal mini-blinds. The window was closed, so I couldn't blame the wind for creating the sound. Last night theWife and I came home to find a recently hanged picture crooked and suspended by only one nail. The second nail was still in the wall, but the picture managed to unhook itself from it.

The recent buyer of the house came over last Saturday morning to see if we had found the main water valve to turn on the water. He started talking about the condition of the house when he bought it. He said that the previous owner(recently deceased) had framed bones hanging on the wall, which isn't all that odd for an angst-ridden teenager, but for someone in their 50's? When theWife came to see the place before it was re-painted and remodeled, she said that the bedroom walls were covered in mirrors, and large hooks were screwed into the ceiling. Sounds like someone might have been into a little BDSM, eh? Later we found out that the previous owner was a recovering drug addict/alcoholic turned school counselor, had cancer, and was vacationing in Florida when he had a fatal heart attack. According to someone who knew him, the previous owner of the house was an "odd character" in school. I'll post more activity as it happens.

I Just Want Enough To Get Well

After experiencing the first stages of withdraw, we had the fine folks at Comcast cable come over and connect us to Internet last Wednsday. What was supposed to be a five minute job, turned into a hour and fifteen minute job. Turns out squirrels made lunch out of the coaxial cable running to the house, so it had to be replaced. The existing coax cable in the house was shit, too. We had the worst throughput ever seen by the cable technician. Two back-up units were called in to assist. The cable technician was cool though, and I burned him a copy of Peeping Tom for his hard work.

Finally got the WiFi up and running yesterday after realizing that one of the ethernet cables I was using a crossover cable! I guess that's why I put red tape at the ends of that cable. Oops!

Diggin' For Gold

Went to my last class at theDojo today. And my instructor surprised me with a gold belt at the end of class.

I wasn't sure if they would grant me my gold belt since it was not promotions week -- first week of the month. I had the necessary number of marks(8) on my belt, so I told the instructor about my upcoming departure, and asked him if it would be possible to get my gold belt before promotions week. He wasn't sure, but he would find out before my last class.

At the end of my last class, the instructor asked us to line up, which is the normal routine. Then he said that he had an announcement. Up until this point I thought I was not going to get the new belt, since I would have seen it and the certificate lying on the podium. He announced to everyone that today was my last class at theDojo, and I was moving to another state. And since I was an excellent student, I was allowed to have my gold belt. He wanted to surprise me, and hid the belt and certificate in is gym bag until the end of class. It worked -- I was surprised!

I am going to really miss that place. I met a lot of great people during my six month stint there.

Still need to find a new place near where I'm moving.

"The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops voted at its biannual meeting for a new translation after a brief but vigorous debate over several small changes in wording. The 173-29 vote on the Order of the Mass was aimed at satisfying Vatican
calls for a translation that's closer to the Latin version."

Packing Up The Wagon

I found out a last Friday that theWife and I will be moving away from Chicago in TWO(!) weeks. We were entertaining the thought of moving in a few months, but not in two short weeks. In a matter of two days, theWife was notified of an open position for employment and accepted a the offer, I have a job, and we have a place to drop anchor (bought for us to rent by her new employer). The Trek to Chicago

A group of friends and band mates, my wife, and myself moved to Chicago from a small town in Indiana nearly 5 years ago. The driving force to migrate was so our band could to be part of a large music scene and hopefully one day become rock stars. That intention slowly fell apart for myself over the course of our first year living here. theWife and I fell in love with Chicago and continued living in the city.

My time spent in Chicago has been life changing, but not always in a positive light, at least not at the time. During the first half of my time spent here my life seemed to be destroyed, or re-evaluated, depending on how you look at it. My mother died a couple of weeks after moving; the band fell apart within the first year which resulted in the temporary loss of friendships to the people whom I held close to my heart; my father ruined what little of a relationship we had by choosing to be more concerned with the demands of a con woman, than the well-being of his sons (long story); my wife and a parasitic lowlife masquerading himself as a friend were having an affair behind my back, thus pushing my wife and I to the threshold of divorce; and I spent many days on the roof of my workplace looking down on Michigan avenue, dismayed at the direction my life was going -- contemplating suicide.

I had walked through the Void and survived.

The second half of my time here appears to been a period of reflection and rebuilding myself. As much as it hurt going through that dark period, it appears to me that it had to happen. I have gone through various forms of transformation, all for a more positive experience. I AM becoming centered now. I have less weight to carry. Furthermore, I would not be who I AM had it not and had I not been moved to Chicago allowing it to manifest.

Giving Thanks

Living in Chicago has given me the opportunity to experience life in a much different way than I would have still living in my small hometown. Living here opened my mind to new experiences and tore down many illusions. One of the first things that I noticed living in Chicago is the diversity of cultures that all intermingle with each other within the city. While waiting to cross a busy street in downtown Chicago, a person standing next to me asked what I loved most about Chicago, and without hesitation I responded to his question with, "The diversity of people." He earnestly agreed and said that homogeneity is not a good thing. I couldn't agree more.

As much as I love Chicago it will be nice to be near the open country. Over the last year I have been wanting to learn the art of gardening, learn and practice methods of being more self-sustaining, and continue to experience consciousness in a less urban environment. Our new homestead will lend itself to those goals. theWife and I are ready to have kids, too, so I'm excited about entering that phase of our life. Neither one of us wanted to have children in Chicago. The cost of living is far too high for us, especially if only one of us is going to be working.
